Why? I’m not really sure. Whether it’s Photo Excerpts or finishing w.i.p.s., I think I’m ready to take it on. Publishing Lez and Lesbians later this year will be a true triumph and I hope the rest of you upcoming authors are looking forward to when you publish your first book no matter the method.
Another Insecure Writers Bloghop hosted by Alex Cavanaugh and while I’m sharing good news I also have insecurities about it. Good news first. I plan to publish at least two three chapter previews of Lez and Lesbians before the end of the year on Amazon (at least). I’d like to see how they take, especially in the GLBT, fantasy and Contemporary sections. While it is great to be previewing my work I also worry about the potential result. What if people hate it? Can I really do this, write books I mean. While I plan to push aside these insecurities they’re still there goading me. Help.
Nothing new to say for Insecure Writer’s Workshop. But do watch the Epic Reads interview with Aprilynne author of Life After Theft.
I have been slacking off on my blogging. Sadly I fear that I’ve lost all chance of gaining a following. So this month keeping up a better online presence is a priority. Reminding myself that life goes on and my blog is still alive and that giving up isn’t an option. My blog will thrive as long as I put in the effort to keep it going. So there’s my insecurity for this month.
